I'm really liking this collection from Felipe Oliveira Baptista. I am feeling a little bit graphic for next season. There has been a severe lack of black in collections this Spring Summer, so it's nice to see someone throw in the fashionista's fav into the mix.
Also teamed with that sky blue it makes the color pop and the whole thing very striking. Very fresh.
Each piece, I don't know if it's because of the block colors and the square shapes, seems very functional with a sporty edge. I don't normally get excited about sporty luxe stuff. It just isn't my style. But each of these seems to appeal me in that you could team it several ways.
The above image reminds me of that collection by Henry Holland where he based it on paint strips. You know the ones you get in DIY stores when selecting a paint for your walls. I like it more then the Holland collection though. Check out those shoulders as well. Pointed and perfect. There seems to be a huge reference to men's tuxedos in this as well. With the blazers, shirts and dresses all showing little tux touches.
Although there is something a little 50's housewife about all those smocks and aprons!!!!!!
