Demi Lovato Twitter: Reflects on NYE in Rehab; "Life is good, God is great!"


Demi Lovato took to her Twitter to share past memories of New Year's Eve 2010 spent in rehab.

"Two years ago, I watched the ball drop on TV in rehab and cried my eyes out," Demi Lovato shared on Monday evening. "Tonight I'm on the beach with my closest, most loyal friends...sipping coffee and sharing how beautiful life is and how far we've come. Recovery is a beautiful thing friends. Life is good, God is great!"

Lovato also added some words of wisdom for teens going out to celebrate on New Year's Eve.

"Everyone please be careful and smart tonight. NYE is about celebrating the past year and the year to come. Set goals and dream big #2013..." She advised.

"By the way-just reminding teens out there that you don't have to drink on NYE to have fun. Be the difference."

Demi Lovato had quite a successful year with her hit song "Give Your Heart A Break" and becoming a judge on the popular TV competition: "X Factor." Lovato revealed earlier in December that she is thankful for her health and thanks God for recovery.

"I don't know what's better..." The 20 year-old confessed."Being healthy and really happy, or people noticing how healthy and really happy you are? It's just surreal. I never knew this kind of happiness existed. Cherishing this moment...So thankful for recovery. God is good."

Lovato also took to her Twitter after Christmas to share her year-end reflection on glowing with happiness.

"It's just an incredible feeling when people who haven't seen you in a while tell you 'You look so happy'.. Well I'm glad it shows!!" she continued.

In 2010, the 20 year-old singer check into rehab after a mental breakdown on the "Camp Rock 2" tour with the Jonas Brothers. Lovato had been battling depression, bipolar disease, and the pressure of being thin and beautiful according to the media's standards.

Since being released from rehab, Lovato debuted her comeback album, "Unbroken," in 2011. The former Disney star confessed that her first single off the album, "Skyscraper," was very special and important for her to comeback with.
