1. Yeezus- Kanye West
Now, this is one list Kanye would be happy with. Haha! Personally, I bumped Yeezus more than most of my friends, and I still wonder why people keep saying it was wac. I fucking loved it. Artistically, musically, it was on another level, and you can't say Kanye didn't deliver with his lyrics. But do I think it is the best album that dropped this year, maybe not. I didn't listen to a lot of non-rap albums this year, so I can't really speak on most of the albums on this list. I am happy Pusha T's album is up there...it's probably my best rap album of 2013. I like it so much cos I didn't believe I was going to like it at all....but I loved it. The first full length album from Pusha, and he hit the bull's eye. A lot of people say he only raps about crack-cocaine, but I just really like how he went really diverse on the album...from the love song with Kelly Rowland, to the emotional song with The Dream, to the gritty Nosetalgia song with Kendrick Lamar...great album.
